The name Suomy have chosen for the new racing helmet says averuthing about this innovative model. Developed in collaboration with Andrea Dovizioso, Moto GP official rider, & also tested in extreme situation such as 2019 Tourist Trophy, the SR-GP enters the top of Suomy range. High protection, ergonomics, fantastic field of vision & new way to study aerodynamics are the word keys that gave life to SR-GP. SR-GP is totally new also in terms of ventilation: the outer shell has channels that provide a more effective airflow inside the helmet, & a special rear spoiler that greatly increases the aerodynamic performance & the air extraction. Safety To have a maximum safety the helmet must fit tightly & be correctly & securely fastened, in order not to be able to be taken off neither by pulling it nor by rotating it around the head. If it is too big, it may slide down over the eyes or turn in a lateral direction due to movement during riding, blocking the right visibility. Shell The shell is made from TRICARBOCO fiber, a new composite that allows to obtain a lighter shell but at the same time harder & more protective. The new composite is a mixture of carbon with different weight/breaking loads linked up with aramid resins that ensure a light shell but much more resistant to impacts To satisfy even the most exigent customers, SR-GP is produced in four different shell: S, M, L & XL Protective polystyrene Internal polystyrene liner is realized in four sizes (S, M, L & XL) to obtain a better ergonomics & a variable density. This characteristic allows a gradual & progressive absorption of the power produced by the impact. Even if the bigger part of the energy created by the impact is absorbed by the external shell, thanks to its deformation, the role of polystyrene is crucial for the absorption of the residual power. A different density of the polystyrene allows to optimize the mechanical performance of the shell-polystyrene, ensuring the maximum level of absorption in all areas of the helmet. Visor The visor is PC injected, antiscratch, optic class 1 with variable thickness. Easy to remove thanks to a system that doesn’t need any tool. The release lever is made from a particular metal alloy that gives greater solidity to the assembly. The visor is also equipped with a locking mechanism “ Racing Lock System” in metal alloy. The mechanism reduces the possibilitiy of detachment in case of crash. SR-GP is prepared & equipped with PINLOCK Max Vision 120, the most performing antifog system in the market. Retention system The chin is provided with D-Ring Retention System enabling an easy release of the retain system. Ventilation It is during the hottest Grands Prix that the most is asked from the rider, requiring concentration & endurance. Being able to count on efficient ventilation makes all the difference. SR-GP sports five air intake ducts which work in conjunction with a neatly integrated channel system, guaranteeing excellent airflow inside the helmet. The hot air extraction is a marvel of aerodynamics: two submerged NACA intakes, working together with the rear spoiler create a Venturi effect over the exhaust ports, draw out the hot air. Homologation ECE 22-05 Inners The cheek pads & the internal comfort can be removed, washed & replaced. Sends away sweat from the head Keeps fresh & dry Light fabric, soft & breathable Cheek pads are customizable & easily removable in case of emergency thanks to the quick release system. SR-GP is prepared for the camel-bag system.
