All the electronics are fully waterproof and the LED display on the front of the airbag clearly indicates operational status at a glance,
informing you about battery level, current riding mode, and number of deployment charges left. Once fully charged, the certified lithium-ion battery offers about 30 hours of operation and for quick-and-easy charging the airbag comes equipped with a magnetic micro-USB charger. Developed to really incorporate in everyday riding, the Avertum Tech-Air® comes equipped with a total of three airbag deployments before the system needs servicing and recharging. Comfort: Safety and comfort go hand in hand Because you will be wearing the Avertum Tech-Air® under a regular motorcycle jacket or leather suit, we’ve designed the airbag to blend seamlessly into your outfit. Constructed almost entirely of a variety of durable mesh fabrics, the
short-sleeve design of the Avertum Tech-Air® is lightweight and incredibly breathable. Light and comfortable to wear as well, with even the dexterity enhancing stretchable parts made of a mesh. Obviously hard-wearing areas such as the shoulders are additionally reinforced with a durable yet supple ripstop material – also ventilated, with laser-cut perforations. On top of that, even the back of the airbag system itself is designed to let air flow through. The fit of the Avertum Tech-Air® is kept snug to assure safety and comfort go hand in hand, with extra wide elastic rib cuffs along the sleeves to prevent them creeping up, so you stay comfortable. Along the collar a soft neoprene material makes sure you barely feel it on the skin. Designed with state-of-the-art airbag technology,
our Avertum Tech-Air® airbag is based around three accelerometers and three gyroscopes, that are integrated into a beautifully subtle and ergonomically fitting vest. with 4 cm of space around the circumference of the rider’s chest. The state-of-the-art wearable Tech-Air® comes with active sensors (3 gyroscopes and 3 accelerometers) and a crash algorithm that leverages AI to accurately monitor when to deploy the airbag in the event of a crash. Bluetooth connectivity Bluetooth connectivity to a Tech-Air® App allows you to monitor various features of your airbag. It includes keep track of the system’s operational status, battery life, and analysis of your ride that even includes plotting your route on a map that can all be accessed. The app even allows you to choose between Street and Race mode. Servicing and recharging A technical garment like Avertum Tech-Air® requires regular maintenance and in case of depleting all three charges, a recharge is required. Even without the airbag having been deployed,
the Tech-Air® system should be serviced at least once every two years and with extensive use an inspection and service interval of six months to one year is recommended. During a service the whole airbag is inspected and washed. With a recharge, the system is reloaded with fresh charges as well as getting a through-and-through inspection and the airbag will also be washed. To make sure use of the Avertum Tech-Air® is kept as simple and convenient as possible, routine maintenance through our Tech-Air® service center is thorough and easy to access, and always with rider safety in mind. Important information on size selection When using the system with an outer garment, the user must check that it provides sufficient internal volume to accommodate the deployed airbag as follows. 1:
measure the circumference of your chest measure the width of the garment in the chest area the outer garment is compatible with the system if B > 0.5 x A + 12 cm (B > 0.5 x A + 4.72 in.) WARNING! The system must ALWAYS be used with a properly fitting outer garment of the user s appropriate size. Use of the system with an incorrectly sized garment or with a garment that does not meet the size recommendations above may result in system malfunction or failure and injury, including serious injury and/or death. Health and age restrictions The system is not to be used by children or anyone under the age of 18. In the event of an impact, the inflation of the system will cause sudden pressure on the back and torso. This may cause discomfort and lead to complications for users in poor health.
Therefore, the system must not be used: (I) by persons under 18 years of age, (II) by persons with heart problems or other diseases, conditions, ailments or illnesses that may weaken the heart, (III) by persons with a pacemaker or other implanted electronic medical devices, (IV) by persons with neck or back problems, (V) by women during pregnancy, (VI) by women with artificial breast implants and, in general, by persons with any type of body implant before consulting a physician. Any body piercing that coincides with the coverage area of the Air Bag should be removed before using the system, as the inflation of the Air Bag into and against the piercings may cause discomfort and/or injury.
