Extremely tested, with some 200, 000 km and more than 60 adventure riders testing in the world s most remote locations, from Alaska to Croatia, Baja California, Ha Giang to the Merzouga Desert in Morocco - all to ensure that every little detail is perfectly designed for any adventure. The new X.WED3 allows a seamless transition between an off-road/adventure helmet and a full-face road helmet without the need for tools. It also offers the flexibility to wear off-road goggles in dusty environments, making the X.WED 3 a true all-rounder. Thoracic injuries are among the most common injuries in off-road
motorcycling. For this reason, the design of the X.WED3 shell offers a unique shape with a softer and rounder base edge in the chin area to reduce the risk of chest injuries from frontal impacts. The new X-Foam shock absorbers made of very lightweight EPP foam are designed to absorb impact energy on both sides of the helmet and in the chin area, cushioning the impact impulse and reducing the risk of collarbone fractures. With seven closable air intakes and four exhaust vents, the X.WED3 s complex ventilation system is ready to adapt to all preferences and weather conditions. Innovation was the main focus of the X.WED3 with the new Mid Airflow Chamber. This new patented system is designed to create a cavity between the inner EPS and the outer EPS, allowing the immediate circulation of
fresh air around the head while the hot air escapes through the rear holes. The new visor design incorporates NEXX s proven Recoil Visor System with spring-loaded base side plates that automatically pull the visor to the double lip window seal to ensure a perfect airtight seal - independent of the Peak mounting system. The scope of delivery includes Pinlock 120 XLT Max Vision (for models made of X-PRO-CARBON) and Pinlock 70 (for models made of X-Matrix2). The inner sun visor of the X.WED3 is 18% larger and extends to just above the nose bridge. The strategic peak shape ensures improved performance at higher speeds and allows both airflows to pass through. The 3-stage peak adjustment and removal is easily accomplished via the new injection-molded metal and plastic anti-rotation mounting
screws. A screwless peak extender is also included, ideal for riding in low sun. The new anti-vibration EPS system includes a special rubber strip inserted between the inner EPS and the outer EPS, allowing micro-movements of the inner EPS in contact with the user s head. This helps to reduce the vibrations in the helmet caused by air turbulence at higher speeds. The result is a safer helmet with added stability in the head and a smoother and more comfortable ride. Contemporary comfort and carefully selected materials characterize every detail of the X.WED3 s lining. The combination of synthetic leather with large ventilation grilles and intricate stitching immediately catches the eye and creates a quality blend of materials for better ventilation and insulation. In addition, the
innovative air combs provide an unparalleled level of internal ventilation and comfort. The head padding of the X.WED3 is sewn with a special alveolar mesh that creates a fresh air chamber between the EPS lining and the padding. The inner fabrics are made of soft X-Mart Dry fabrics that keep the interior cool and dry. The new F.R.S (Fast Release System) lining is characterized by its simplicity, allowing both cheek pads to be removed simultaneously in just a few simple steps and with no effort. Easy to reach and even easier to use, the patent-pending F.R.S® is the perfect solution for cleaning the lining, but most importantly it allows rescue personnel to remove the helmet from an injured rider s head in the event of an emergency with minimal frictional resistance. Simply lift the
rubber locking arms that lock the red buttons on either side of the helmet, slide the red buttons back and both cheek pads can be easily removed completely.
