- because every extra kilometer per hour can make the difference between victory & defeat. The aerodynamically optimized X.R3R lightweight shell design not only reduces drag, but also optimizes air mass flow to cool the interior. Considerable steps have been taken to optimize the aerodynamic efficiency of the X.R3R s shell, visor, spoiler & vents. The prerequisite for a good aerodynamic design is a development process in the wind tunnel. However, the tests begin virtually on the PC, with virtual CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analyses, which allow better & more informed decisions to be made. These results are then verified through wind tunnel tests, 1:1 scale tests with a motorcycle & road tests that check the aerodynamic performance of the helmet at different angles & riding positions. An aerodynamic helmet that focuses on speed improves ventilation & offers a range of safety features. Every detail of the outer shell & external components is designed to reduce drag & ensure maximum performance. At the same time, air resistance is reduced & the air mass flow is optimized to cool the interior. The air is directed through the upper & lateral wind tunnel to the rear, where it increases the efficiency of the new racing spoiler concept. To improve stability at high speeds, a transparent racing-style spoiler extension can be fitted. This bolt-on rear spoiler extension features a breakaway design for maximum safety. The new X-PRO Carbon with 3K carbon weave is 10% lighter than other carbon shells & offers greater stiffness & ultimate strength. It was developed for elite motorcyclists & weight-conscious riders. The high fiber content (≥ 60%) maximizes the mechanical properties of the composite shell, while the fiber distribution guarantees uniform strength in all directions along with an exquisite look. Everything you would expect from one of the most advanced carbon fiber helmet technologies ever. The complex aerodynamic concept of the X.R3R has been developed to maximize its performance, with 0 gr. dynamic weight at 160 km/h. On the race track, the last thing you want to worry about is the heat on your head. The Aero-tested X.R3R ventilation system promotes airflow through the helmet from front to back. With six air intakes & four outlets for ventilation
- you have full control over how much airflow you get into the helmet to keep your head as cool as possible, due to the pressure, on the trail. The elongated shape of the chin vent helps to get more airflow into the helmet, with an effective channeling system distributing fresh air across the visor & face area. An additional air intake made from vibration-damping rubber is incorporated in the lower part, which can be easily opened & continuous via a switch in the interior.
