When converting the original turn signals, the flashing frequency may increase. Load-independent flasher relays (e.g. R2) or multifunctional assistance systems (e.g. CR4®) can provide a remedy. If this use is not possible or desired, power resistors connected in parallel can provide a remedy. On motorcycle models with an illumination indicator lamp in addition to the indicator lamp (especially older BMWs), this indicator lamp may be displayed incorrectly when the DF combinations are used.
